Authentic Byzantine Costume. I was very well inspired by Eva Green’s character in the film The Kingdom of Heaven. This was actually the second sketch I did because I didn’t like the first one. This era contained layers of clothing and coverage.

Here’s the modern interpretation of the Byzantine Costume; I created a maxi dress, added the hue of hot pink to give it that modern feel.

Authentic Romanesque Costume. Practically similar to Byzantine clothing; full length skirts, long sleeves, hooded garments because this era was said to be under the “colder climate”. 

Modern Interpretation of Romanesque Costume. I kept the hues I used with the previous sketch and created another maxi dress. 

This one is definitely my favorite; the authentic Gothic Costume. This was during the medieval ages; the era im most fascinated with. This was the period for Crusades, knights, wizards, castles and dark magic; its just hella interesting.  Not only do I love the construction of garments, the culture as well seems so rich. Elements were composed of flowing garments, cloaks, tunics, emblems and hennins(the pointed hat thing.)

My modern interpretation of the Gothic costume is also my favorite, and most of my classmates liked this one the best as well. It’s definitely inspired from its original piece while looking really modern and trendy.
