Believe it or not, this black lace corset is a thrifted item I purchased for one of my projects that required us to buy a piece from Ukay-ukay. Next to it is my Printed Chiffon Robe which I had made for custom which you guys have probably seen in my previous post already.
For months of searching for the perfect vintafe Round Sunglasses, I finally found some at a very good price for only p100 at Chic Boxroom . I purchased two pairs, this one is with the brown tint while the other one’s lens is silver and mirrorized.
Technically, nothing from what I’m wearing right now is “branded”. This goes to show how you can once again pull off stylish outfits without having to gush out on cash.
The ASK ME ANYTHING button is up once again on my blog so you guys can feel free to drop questions you wish to ask, such as where I got specific pieces or tutorials on what so ever.
The weekend is once again over and I’m dreading my Monday class because I’m still not done with this jacket I have to do. Let this be a good week!
Sunday. Spent the entire afternoon at Greenbelt with my good friend, Ericka Tee. I love Sunday Afternoons. Beyond-Manila ‘s Bjorn Bedayo photographed our personal style this afternoon for Flique Magazine’s October issue, so you better grab one once its out! Flique is the latest fashion magazine on print that showcases street style, Filipino Fashion and encourages its audience to embrace their own style identity.
Most of you probably already know this Breakbot song, but here’s Arrio’s immense remix to the French DJ’s Summer hit, “Baby I’m Yours” featuring Irfane. If you haven’t seen the chromatic music video of this yet, you must click this link now to see how kaleidoscopic it is. It won “Best Animation” in video back in UK Music Video Awards in 2010. It’s pretty vibrant, suits the song’s upbeat electronic vibe; it’s my current favorite music video now.
Spiked Necklace & Black Wedge Booties from Forever21 | Studded-Washout Denim Polo | Bag from Topshop
You probably won’t recognize this over-used polo which I wore in several looks and blog posts anymore because I just tinkered it; cut the sleeves off and punctured studs onto it to transform it into a statement piece. This used to be my favorite piece in my closet, but sometimes, we just have to learn to let go of our attachment to certain objects to give way to new or even better phenomenons.
I think this look best describes my personal style; casual yet chic, edgy not girly; with a hint of rebel elements but not grunge. I feel quite uneasy in too feminine ensembles such as flowy skirts, floral prints or bright-colored pieces. I’d only wear them if I pair them up with hints of black, rugged and/or masculine pieces to to tone down the girly feel.
I’d just like to share that the last time I heard Mass was still way back before school started. It’s been five long months since I sat in Church and listened to the priest. This is probably the longest period I’ve gone through without hearing Mass. Don’t get me wrong, I still pray, before I sleep and in the morning before I leave. I’m just not sure if Mass really matters when I can talk to God directly or is it can be the physical and visible way to show that we practice our belief. Though there was a certain instance earlier last month that I just found myself sitting in Greenbelt’s Chapel and prayed alone during the early evening; there was no Mass, it was just me and what I wanted to tell him. Can’t help but appreciate this serene circumstance more compared to the crowded period of hearing Mass.

I found this stellar remix at random last night. It so happens that I just downloaded the original track last week after hearing it play from my boss’ laptop at the office where I am currently having my internship. Recently my taste for music has been diverted to soft, electronic beats. This is called “Dreams” by 1970’s British-Rock Band, Fleetwood Mac and remixed to atmospheric beats by Pyschemagik to keep you relaxed after a tiring day.
Heels from DAS (https://www.facebook.com/DASmyshoes)
I think Im just lucky enough to have owned a pair from DAS’ first collection because right now, this killer-shoe line is just sky-rocketing and is seen in almost in every fashion magazine or style blog. I still find this pair a staple, they’re in fact comfortable to the feet even with it’s killing, dangerous looks. Statement pieces are always the key to a good wardrobe.
Knitted Cardigan from Forever 21 | Feather Necklace from HypeMonster.ph Closet Sale
So as you’ve read above, I’m taking an internship at a local company that promotes Filipino Talent and Social Awareness through it’s brand. It’s quite ironic that our course doesn’t require us to take OJT’s or an internship considering that it’s under the category of Fashion & the Arts. This was just my personal choice to venture outside my comfort zone for me to learn, grow and experience what school can not give. I will expound on this more as soon as I’ll have a detailed post about my pursuit to search further.
There’s been quite a slow but profound transition occurring lately and as the days go by, I begin to understand certain perspectives of why such things lead to another.
It’s literally been months since I blogged about my personal style and I’ve got quite a lot on my plate to dish. Fringes, robes and feathers have been my favorite ensemble lately.

Let me share this track that’s got me singing and dancing. This is by new wave artist, George Lewis also known as Twin Shadow remixed in a wicked house remix by Lonsdale Boys Club called “Golden Light”. The original track was already amazing enough that the remix just blew me with its beats.
Electronic | Remix | Dream Pop | New Wave
Currently, I’m just waiting for this term to pass by and it’s going to be quite a sudden transposition on the coming week that we only have a day difference from the first term to the next. Because of the week-long suspension a few weeks ago by the stormy weather, our vacation has been consumed. I’m down to my last two terms in college, and it’s still unbelievable on how time just played because of the quick happenings I still haven’t fully digested.
Change hasn’t always been easy and I don’t think it ever will. I try not to think about these things too much anymore because it just drains life out of me. I think it’s not really “change” that frightens us, but it is the uncertainty that comes with it. When there has been so much happiness and significant moments in this stage of our lives, I guess its natural to be reluctant to close such wonderful chapter.
As of now, I’m just savoring every bit of my time in this stage. This feels like High School preparing for College all over again, except that this time, this is the real thing where Life really begins and will define us as human beings.
To cope with change, I just let myself flow with the waves than go against it. I pray, hope and wish for the best.
This is Jenica Mendoza; a good friend of mine with fetish for shoes just like me. Visit her wicked sense of style and her lookbook here.

Youth (Love Thy Brother Remix) by Daughter
Here’s a track extremely melodic and incredibly chill that goes beyond the typical expectation of “how a Dubstep track is like”. I just think this song is perfect for this post.
Just click PLAY.
About three weeks ago, Jenica and I did this shoot. If you’ve noticed, it’s quite similar to my recent look posts. We took turns taking each other’s photographs like we usually do from time to time.
Ever since I started to get to know this girl through random classes we had in school, I knew fashion was one thing we had in common; Jenica is very adventurous, extreme, punk, goth-like, while my style can be described as edgy; either bohemian, rebel or classy.
Most of the time around school, she’s been mistaken as a Fashion Student when in fact she’s in the Multimedia Arts Department because obviously she has this distinct sense of style that makes her very recognizable. She’s one person that doesn’t set boundaries with experimenting with pieces.
In spite it all, she can be very down to earth. She’s very easy to photograph because of how flexible and photogenic she can be in front of the camera.

So you no longer care if there’s another day
I guess I have been there, I guess I am there now
You knew what you wanted and you fought so hard
Just to find yourself sitting in a golden cage
In a golden cage
So of course I miss you and miss you bad
But I also felt this way when I was still with you
Yes of course I miss you and miss you bad
But I also felt this way when I was still with you
This city’s no longer mine
There’s sadness written on every corner
Each lover was made to sign
Now I hear them calling me over and over.
We were out for the weekend at Tagaytay again, did this shoot on the side while we had another shoot for Jensen Gomez’ music video going on. Thanks to Migs, and his brand new Canon L Lens Series of 70-200mm for these photos and for Cholo Hermosa, for giving me this song during our Jam session right before Jensen and I drove to Tagaytay.
