Goodmorning Boracay! Who wouldn’t want to wake up to this scenery just a few steps outside your resort room?
We decided to skip the hotel’s breakfast buffet since we already had it the day earlier. Instead, we ate at Pancake House. I know its a bit unnecessary to dine here since this is all over Manila anyway, but what the hec, this was a no fail place to dine for breakfast. We really needed this for the heavy day ahead.

Zorb Park was our first stop. Mom was so excited for this since she saw Kris Aquino & John Lapus do this on tv. So it’s pretty intriguing to see the kind of fun of tumbling down a hill in a inflated ball with water then landing on a pool. Well it fun, except for the part where mom’s fear turned to laughing than screaming inside the ball.
What I liked about these Boracay rides i that they always have a shuttle service to bring you anywhere you want to go next, for free. We stopped at Dreamland, which was a little theme park. I think it would be good to go back here at night with the kiddies. We wanted to go drive ATV’s up to the peak of of the mountain to see the view of the entire island.
Seriously, I want my own ATV.
I was greatly speechless at this view, it was too amazing and breathtaking. It’s even better when you see it with your own eyes. I could live here!
We were drained and exhausted. Had our late lunch at 1. We ate at this Indian Restaurant, because I’ve been craving for tasty food, particularly spices. We had vegetable stuffed dumplings, Grilled Tandoori Chicken and Vegtable Biryani Rice. It was really one hot meal.
Cafe del Sol’s Mango Cheescake was probably the best one I’ve tasted.
The entire family gathered at Mexican restaurant, Ole for dinner.
The kids were very entertained with the coloring pages given to them. I myself tried on picking up the crayon.
My 4th Banana Shake for this trip. It’s really refreshing.
We had different kinds of Paella that night, this one is Paella Negra made out of squid ink.
We checked out Discovery Shores afterwards, we were pretty intrigued with the resort Kris Aquino usually stays in.
Our usually picks, Mixed Berries & Green Tea ice cream from FIC.
And here’s another track I’m loving so I’m sharing it out. Disco Fries Remixes are undeniably good. This was part of our playlist on the way to Caticlan.

I really wanted to separate this post to emphasize on the view of our resort during the evening. The yellow lights were gorgeous, it just illuminated the place with the well aqua blue-lit swimming pool. It was just paradise.
The moon was pretty full as it was approaching a super moon in a few days. Im glad I captured it with the deep blue sky and the evening clouds.
This is Sea Breeze restaurant, where we have our breakfast buffet.
Vacation is not complete without music. Tito Patrick surely didn’t forget to bring his BOSE speakers along. The family was out here by the pool area and I was pretty surprised no hotel guests complained regarding the noise we were making.
So anyway, here’s one of my favorite electronic tracks. It’s very relaxing and tranquilizing especially when you have your headphones on. It’s perfect when you’ll be lying down on the sand watching the night sky. enjoy!

Leaving Ilo-ilo at three in the morning was definitely not so pleasant considering the family had a dinner party a few hours ago in celebration of Lola Nita’s 80th (My lola’s eldest sister out of nine siblings) but at least, we arrived at Boracay Island around 8 in the morning which gave us enough time to enjoy the sun and it’s morning glory.
We we’re all starving that we just hit the hotel’s breakfast buffet. We were staying at Boracay Regency, and the place was perfect for family fun. I couldn’t wait to jump in the pool the moment we arrived.
We had a good variety of choices for welcome drinks, most of the selections were fruity drinks with a little twist, non-alcoholic of course, that would keep you cool with the heat.
After a quick swim, Mom, Bea, Tita Ali and I walked outside on the shores in search for late lunch. We ate at Aria over a good conversation. We had Pasta Marinara, Salad, Carbonara & Pizza. My favorite was the pizza, it had olives, artichoke and mushrooms plus their hot sauce made out of Olive Oil was good.
Bea, Mom, Me, Tito Howard, Tita Ali & Bianca. This was when we took a walk after late lunch at D’ Mall. I enjoyed this chill afternoon walk of window shopping, things they sold really gave me the beach vibe.
Tita Ali is actually my second cousin, she’s the oldest of us, and next to her is Tita Anne, who is Bea’s mom. Technically Bea & Bianca are my nieces, but I consider them like my cousins. Their family is so entertaining and fun to be with.
This was the first pool I swam in of the four pools at the Resort. It was around noon time when I went dipping on my own and explored the shores and the nearby restaurant and finds. It feels refreshing and very unwinding to be in cool waters. I loved our resort. I took the time to sit by the beach shore and watch people para-sailing from afar. Actually, our location wasn’t the crowded side of the island, which I liked.
Bianca, Me, Daniel & Bea after we went swimming.
Daniel is Bea’s 7 year old younger brother, he is pretty energetic and full of ideas. Apparently these kids I consider as cousins are my nephews and nieces, there are about 7 of them.
Lola Doti & Lolo Pedro, reading newspaper for their afternoon date.
Lola Doti is actually my aunt, since she is my dad’s first cousin. Just like Tita Ali, she is the eldest of their generation. She’s the grandmom of Bea and the others.
It’s pretty entertaining to be around Lolo Pedro, when he starts talking about Politics, food, almost about anything. He’s been hurrying to go back home since he had a lot of things to do, but Bea encouraged him to try and relax.
Later that afternoon, the rest of the Ng family arrived. So there was about 30-40 of us there.
Fresh Sea Food was one of the things I really looked forward to this trip. We had a few of these later that evening. yum yum.

MNL 143, a film by independent director, Emerson Reyes was supposed to be part of the New Breed category of this year’s Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and Competition until the festival’s committee dropped the now controversial film due to casting which they reasoned out to be ”not suitable to the material.” This was a pretty controversial issue which even sprung to headlines such ABS-CBN & Manila Bulletin’s news reports.
As a finalist, Sir Emerson was supposed to get a seed grant of P500 to finish his film, but even without that, he still vows to finish the film without the help of Cinemalaya Foundation.
Dogtown Studios and Artist Connect present
Emerson Reyes’
MNL 143 FUNDRAISING CONCERT
which we held last March 29, 2012 | 6PM
at Craft Pub and Grill, Fort Strip, The Fort
We have already raised P77,000 out of the P143,000 goal. Please do help MNL 143 by pledging to offer your help at http://www.artisteconnect.com/projects/mnl-143
Gogo, Me & Mel. I admit, March has been the month that ultimately seemed test my limits and pushed my buttons to maximize stress capacity. I got sick twice, plus the numerous check-ups and tests I did over the month also added to the stress I was already in due to majors, school and work I had to do for Dogtown. Although I have to admit that I was thrilled with losing three pounds over the weekend due to fever, but reality check, that wasn’t good.
I still find myself back here in Manila, in another gig, with my camera and speed light in hand after another long week in school.
Kimpoi & I.
Other highlights for this week was that my grandmother was already here in Manila when I returned during Monday. It was my first time to meet my new born cousin from Tita Bambi & Tito Jojo. It was such a calming moment when I saw the little baby sleeping at their Forbes Home. I love it everytime my grandma is here, we get to bond.
Nani Naguit and Ramon Bautista hosted tonight’s event which made it so comedic and enjoyable. And that’s our very own Big Dawg, Sir Nestor Abrogena on the right.
Cholo Hermosa, vocalist of recently formed band Yolanda Moon. Im impressed by how these guys managed to progress the band and their music within several weeks. Cheers to Dogtown’s latest babies! Will be posting the band launch post soon!

Dogtown Artists composed their first tagalog songs specially for the film, MNL 143 and they will be part of the official soundtrack. Listen to a preview of Jensen Gomez’ song for the film at the bottom of this post under the teaser.
Must try at Craft Pub & Grill; Pina Colada. I totally loved the mixture and the proportion, it was refreshing that I just had to sit and stop with taking photos to enjoy this. You gotta love Malibu and that entire can of Pineapple Juice.
As of that night, we have already raised P74,000 out of the P143,000 goal. Please do help MNL 143 by pledging to offer your help at http://www.artisteconnect.com/projects/mnl-143
Before I end this post, I’d like to share the 30 second trailer of MNL 143. Please do help us support this film. And to read more about this controversial news, read it at: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/lifestyle/03/08/12/indie-filmmaker-vows-finish-mnl-143

Its been nearly 9 months since Sir Nestor and I started co-managing Jensen Gomez. Then Earlier in November, Sleep is the Enemy & Archievals became a part of our under-the-radar management, which we temporarily called “BTS Prod”. Back then, I already thought managing 3 bands was already a load of work until later in December when Lady Ransom was finally welcomed in. At that point, it was pretty obvious that Sir Nest & I couldn’t handle these bunch of rockstars on our own anymore. So earlier in January 2012, we welcomed in road managers, Gwen & May to handle LR & Archievals while I still remained as Jensen’s & Sleep’s RM. Ianna and Roma came in to handle the business and marketing side. Dogtown Music was finally formed, and at last we found a wicked awesome name for our not-so-under-the-radar management.
And since then, its A LOT of work; the late night gigs, the meetings, organizing shizz I didn’t even dare imagine I’d be doing. And tonight, Dogtown Music Prod Launch, were finally out in the open, all the hard work finally payed off to see how far we have gone since then. Saguijo had a Saturday crowd going on there on a wednesday night and that was overwhelming enough to see support from a lot of people. And welcome to the newest band, Limelight!
Thank You to Sir Nestor for trusting me in the first place. Congratulations again Sir.
May, Gwen, Yanna and Roma, thank you for having my back and for being cool people to work with.
To Chanel, Lee, Mac, Migs, Adam, Jackie, Lua and everyone else who I usually don’t see in gigs, thank you for coming tonight, means a lot u guys were there!
To Ryan, Migs, Allan, Natz, Lester, Nailen, Sette, Hershey thanks for handling the video and photo work tonight, hope u guys had fun too.
Thanks to all that came and supported!
Congratulations again everyone!

So you no longer care if there’s another day
I guess I have been there, I guess I am there now
You knew what you wanted and you fought so hard
Just to find yourself sitting in a golden cage
In a golden cage
So of course I miss you and miss you bad
But I also felt this way when I was still with you
Yes of course I miss you and miss you bad
But I also felt this way when I was still with you
This city’s no longer mine
There’s sadness written on every corner
Each lover was made to sign
Now I hear them calling me over and over.
We were out for the weekend at Tagaytay again, did this shoot on the side while we had another shoot for Jensen Gomez’ music video going on. Thanks to Migs, and his brand new Canon L Lens Series of 70-200mm for these photos and for Cholo Hermosa, for giving me this song during our Jam session right before Jensen and I drove to Tagaytay.

It was in the middle of the evening when two of my close friends really wanted new profile pictures and they just had to ask me for a shoot and so yeah this is what I gave them. Kim and I were down south at Alabang with Janine. Im glad we finally found time to do this because this hang out has been long over due because of everyone’s busy schedules. I really missed these two, and it feels good to be back here with them again.
Anyway, Here’s part one featuring Kim. I normally don’t do fantasy and very girly shoots like this, here’s my first time actually. It really fits Kim’s personality.

Before anything else, HAPPY HOLIDAYS everyone! Thanks to my sister for taking the photos here, it’s the first time we actually shot in the backyard. It’s giving this entire forest/woods feel which totally excites me. Doesn’t even look like it was shot here in the Philippines, I love the feel; it makes me feel fall or autumn. It’s legit.

Truthfully its rare that you find fashion bloggers blogging about hardcore rock gigs. I’m one of those rare ones.
The moment you start to hear music that is strong enough to distort your necks with the sound of their instruments, yes, it isCURBSIDE PH. Congratulations to this Metal Rock Band for tonight they are launching their second Extended Playlist, I just had to purchase myself a copy.
I’ve grown to know each of them through out the year, More I’ve grown close to Chase, their drummer, and I can tell him just about almost anything. To Migs, Chase, Russ, Niko & Brent, congratulations! Watching you guys move so synchronized with your music is just as dynamically amazing.
I can never find the right words to justify how legit their music is. As always, I stand up front nod my head, scream, jump, and get lost to rock and roll. It’s always such a high form of release. And just like previous Curbside performances, I stand beside my head banging buddy, Ling Lava of Lions & Acrobats.
LIKE CURBSIDE PH on Facebook.
Photography was done by yours truly, hernameisandie.tumblr.com
Last December 2010 was the first ever gig I attended, and it was also Curbside’s 1st EP launch and now Im back here and their music just got even better. Curbside playing live is just so orgasmic to the ears.
It’s been a long day, been a little stretched due to the ups and downs. Course Card Distribution during the morning, then we had to prepare the 8th floor for our FDM Christmas Party, then we had it till 7 in the evening. Since we didn’t want to end our day so short, Veronica, Ed, Lua & I drove around Malate in the hopes of finding a Comedy Bar. We didn’t find one, even around Roxas Boulevard area, so we just ended up having dinner at Mister Kebab. Then I’m here at Guijo.
This was my last night in Manila and I’m ending this awesome year here at this gig. Glad one of my closest friends, Migs Ferreras, was also there. This night and day has been a bit heavy on a specific aspect due to certain circumstances that led to certain situations. But all is ok now, so thank you everyone for awesome 2011!

This was definitely BACOLOD POWER, since all of us grew up there and it’s an honor to be working alongside with these talented and gorgeous ladies. It was the first time I met Nikki and she did such a great job with the make up. I’ve shot Bella and especially Angela several times already and it’s always easy to communicate with them. They’re born to model. We shot at Serendra c/o CJ Lopez from The Delirious Movement. Yeah, definitely Bacolod Power.
I had a ton of work to do during this day, this shoot was first on my list. It was followed by my visit to Warner Music Philippines with Jensen Gomez for his label. Then I had to rush back to taft for my midterm and I had to attend Fashion Week(read about it here ) later that evening. Dropped dead like a vegetable at the end of this day. It was fulfilling in a way to have accomplished all of these.
Thank you Ina Ramos for trusting me on this, though how I wish I could have stayed longer and did better for this shoot. I apologize for my time was rushed and this took a little while. Next time should be better, Looking forward to our next collab!
It was awesome to work with you guys, go BACOLOD!

THE POWER COUPLE shoot by Lee for his DIGIPHO Homework: Fashion spread minimum of 4 light setup. Im absolutely impressed by how Lee conceptualizes; the outcome of this shoot wasn’t your typical white background that was so obviously done around SDA. Those shots are getting waay over-rated and boring already. This one was one of the rare results; it was clear that this shoot was inspired and had a lot of thinking in it.
Ever since our Hippie Shoot at Tagaytay, I’ve already learned to trust Lee with his ideas, He never fails to work them. Thrilled when I heard Lee’s concept, the colored lights got me excited since I’ve never worked with them before.

Adam, he’s known as the hair stylist, but for this shoot, my hair didn’t need styling anymore.

Here’s our photographer; Lee. Have been working with him with shoots for several times already. Im proud of Lee for thinking of using colored lights, instead of the typical white. I heard he was the only one who took the initiative to use filters while the rest of his class stuck to plain white.

Rosa took most of the BTS shots. She did it the old school way with her trusted digicam
Here’s a closer view with my accessories; photos by Adam!

The Bandage Wedges I got from R.O.M.E. shop. One of the most comfortable pair of heels I have, although it was still challenging to jump in these!
Awesome having Bogs around here to help! Missed his humor and bubbly aura! He asked me an interesting question while Mac wasn’t around yet. I honestly didn’t know how to answer it, I just smiled while everyone started teasing. Oh Bogs!
‘

This is the 2nd shoot Im doing with Lee and the 4th project I’m paired with Mac. I know I’ve worked with this crowd several times already, but every project is still a challenge; its still a learning process. The challenge here was to get the timing right with Lee while Mac & I seriously had to cooperate with each other and look like “The Power Couple”. We weren’t just doing a stable pose, we needed dynamic movements! Light, Camera & Shoot!

The first attempt at these were really difficult! The shots were off, and we didn’t get the timing & the chemistry right. Were required to do a jumps for all the shots, it was challenging to get this in sync; we all had to work with each other to get the shot right. Lee had to step in and do some talking.

Initially, I found it off why Lee didn’t want to use the clean wall, after all he had lights to do the artistic doing for the shots. I thought the white board was a bad idea, since it looked dirty and unplanned. Apparently not, it did have a good effect! You gotta trust Lee, his ideas may be crazy but its always for a creative outcome.

Attempts were getting better here. And I seriously didn’t want to upload the first few sets because they were hilarious and they looked like a total fail!
Lee had an interpretation for this; the white board represented us being students while the dirt on it represented the challenges The Power Couple overcomes. While the two different colored lights represented our two different courses.

And another successful shoot!
